I’m a 25-year old student at the Helsinki Business Polytechnic, specializing in multimedia. I’m also a member of the Inter-Society for the Electronic Arts (ISEA). I express my art as audio collages, photography and various types of installations.
I have produced these collages of electronic sound that I refer to as ‘Martian Funeral Music’. I have my own recording studio (Hairspray Studios) where all of these tracks were recorded and processed on a fully digital system.
Our interest in space-exploration, in my opinion, is a search for an identity of the truest kind. The discovery of other cultures in the universe would completely change our own. I spent several weeks studying the pictures of the surface from Nasa and their probes, trying to create this set of immersive audio-collages – a soundtrack – that would depict the planet.
