Studying under French expatriate video-maker Pier Marton at Washington University in St. Louis in 2004, Erik Peterson has since honed his skills making shorts for the experimental film organization Group 101 in Orlando and Chicago. The films concentrate on small and seemingly insignificant observations of public life that tweak reality in a humorous way. His films have been screened at theaters in St. Louis and Orlando, and online for the 2007 TREO Film Festival. He is currently a Master of Fine Arts student in sculpture and moving image at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
