Diana Guzmán López
(Monterrey, Mexico, 1958) – www.morquechos.com
has a bachelor in Biology by the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana in Mexico City, Mexico, a master’s degree in Computer Science by the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and a Master´s degree in Design (new technologies expertise) and a PhD in Design both by the Universidad Autónoma Metroplitana in Mexico. She also has studies in Photography and Art.
As a researcher, she has directed projects about, Color Photography, Alternate ways of image production, Image- Technology relationship and Image theory.
She has presented her work in more than 17 National and International events. Her artwork has been presented in more than 70 shows in and out her country, and 16 solo-shows. Also it has been published in numerous magazines, some books and in many URLs. She has published 4 research articles and many catalogs of her images. Her artwork has gotten several prizes and recognitions as National contests of painting, drawing and digital art. She lives and works in Mexico City where she is Professor and researcher at the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana Xochimilco since 1980.
