is a Texas-native music composer and producer based in Berlin, Germany. His dance album “The Dark Spektrum†was released on 6 March 2020 and contains collaborations with over 50 Berlin-based artists.

Video Synopsis: Because of the German Government mandate to self-isolate from the coronavirus, Bates evacuated alone to the majestic forests around Berlin, resulting in several “Hallucinations†compositions. I found refuge in the kindness of nature. The trees became my new friends and the landscapes became my new playgrounds. The forests allowed me to have dream-like days and nights in my music writing. And in a current world filled with strife, fear and mayhem, we all could use some hallucinations to help free us.
