Adam Willetts
Adam Willets is an Auckland based artist whose practise encompasses both improvised music and installation and investigates relationships between humans, technology and the environment.
Adam’s contributions to Sound Lab are based around samples taken from audio recordings made by the RT 32 radio telescope (nicknamed Little Star) in Irbene, Latvia. Formerly a Soviet military facility, RT 32 was abandoned in 1994 and after successful repairs by VIRAC (Ventspils International Radio Astronomy Center) it is now used for scientific research and cultural projects.
