Tim Coster
is a sound artist working in Auckland, New Zealand. He makes audio works involving the use of environmental field-recordings, and computer editing/processing, encompassing self-released CD-Rs, gallery installation and live performance. These are all presentations of processed field recordings and faint musical mistakes. Fragile sound narratives are mixed with approximate fragments of structure and musicality, shifting spatial density and forming mysterious geographies. Prepared environmental sounds and digital processing are (im)perfectly re-arranged into songs with a laptop. Occasional hums, recorded instruments, clicks and quiet granular rhythms are also incorporated.Email: Title of work:Home of institutionalisation.Short bioTim Coster is a sound artist working in Auckland, New Zealand.
