Brief bio: the2vvo is artist duo based in Los Angeles, CA made up of Eldar Tagi (sound) and Lena Pozdnyakova (video/sculpture). Nomadic in nature, the duo traveled extensively, participating in festivals, such as Unsound, CTM, Bauhausfest, Perpetual Dune, Soundedro, and building installations for spaces like the Kuona Trust gallery in Nairobi, Kenya and Studio 106, Los Angeles, CA. The2vvo’s sound sculpture was featured as part of the ARCHIVE MACHINES juried group exhibition at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery.

“SomeWhat out thereâ€, or “on meeting the virus†– is a piece as improvisation with a loose narrative, expressed through the play with mass-produced objects and waste materials. Through the play with objects under a webcam in real-time, with immediate digital processing that incorporates chance, these objects and processes get transformed and hence generate abstract narratives that remind us of somewhat living organisms, invisible and yet powerful.
