first became entranced by cinema as a child. on sundays she would hang blankets on the window to block out the kalgoorlie sun (this is in western australia); while her father would screen super 8 films, mainly Westerns. cowboy or filmmaker? – it was a hard decision. currently tanya V is completing her Phd. thesis in film theory at murdoch university (AUS), teaches video production at edith cowan university (AUS) and delights in her new fondness for micromovies.
