After studying the cello in high school, Seb went on to complete a certificate IV in audio engineering. He is currently in his third year of a Bachelor of Music Studies (Technology). Seb has received four ASME SA Young Composers Awards and two runner- up awards from 2001 to 2004 for works encompassing a wide range of instrumentation including rock band, solo bass guitar, a pine cone, explicitly non- musical objects and a cello quartet as well as various sonification works. Seb is currently working on an image- to- music program in partnership with the Investigator Science and Technology Centre for educational purposes. He will also be presenting a paper on traditional Japanese music as used in anime at the 14th conference of the Japanese Studies Association of Australia.
