Li-Chi Hsieh (South Korea)


Li-Chi Hsieh

is currently a student at Northern Illinois University. She is working towards a Master
Degree in Computer Music and New Media Technology under the direction of Dr. James Phelps.
Li-Chi Hsieh has studied computer music composition since 2002 with Dr. Yu-Chung. She also studied composition and theory with Shan Hua Cheng starting in 1998.
During the year 2000, while studying at the National Taipei Teachers College, Li-Chi began exploring new forms of composition. She graduated from the National
Taipei Teacher’s College in June 2004.
Li-Chi is also an accomplished pianist. She has performed at some of the most famous concert halls in Tiawan, including the National Concert Hall, and performed at ISME 2002 in Bergen, Norway for chorus.
Her electro-acoustic compositions have been selected for the EuCue 2003 concert at Concordia University Canada and the International Computer Music Fesitval 2004, Seoul Korea.
