Jaka Železnikar is an author that can be placed somewhere in between the fields of poetry, prose, computer and Internet art.

Alongside his artistic work he also works as a selector/curator and writes on contemporary art. (He is also the editor of Mladina online, an independent magazine that comments on politics and culture).

Most commonly he presents his works at exhibitions linked to the fine arts, however he sometimes appears at venues dedicated to literature.

Prior to 1997 he has published works in most Slovene literary magazines, in 1994 he published a book of poetry and short stories entitled 54.000 besed (54.000 words), in 1997 he published a disc of interactive poetry Interaktivalija, and since 2004 he also co-operates at the Napis nad mestom project.
