Gina Valenti was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1981 and lives in Rosario. She is a multimedia artist, pianist and contemporary and electronic music composer.
She is Creator and Director of the “International Festival of Electronic Art 404” www.404festival.com.ar and since 2001 is responsable, with Mariano Guzman, of “Astas Romas” project www.astasromas.com , collection that proposes and spreads current artistic languages.
She has edited the following CDs: “Despues de todos los cristos” (After all Christs) (1999), contemporary piano compositions, “20 de Diciembre” (20 of December) (2001 – 2002), piano and electronic music, “Astas Romas Selection” (2003) electronic music compilation, and “Alta Costura” (Haute Couture) experimental electronic music.
For several years she´s being developping digital art and online works. Some of her production can be visited at www.astasromas.com (this website is also one of gina’s online artworks).
Her works (both visual art and music) have been selected and presented in M.A.E.M. 2004, “J.B. Castagnino Museum of Fine Arts” (Argentina), “Parque de España Cultural Center” (Argentina), “Institute Goethe” (Italy) and “Center of Modern Art” of Madrid, Spain.
Some of her works are part of the Permanent Collection of Contemporary Art > Carrafa Fine Arts Museum, Argentina. In 2004 she finished the Career of Fine arts at the National University of Rosario, Argentina.
