Claudia Sohrens
I was born in Hamburg, Germany. I studied Visual Communication, Graphic and Fashion Design and received my degree in Communications Design, 1997. I came to New York to study photography at the International Center of Photography in 1997. Currently I am faculty at the ICP and Tisch School of the Arts/ NYU. I have participated in artist residencies at the Bronx Museum in New York and the International Academy of Painting & Photography, in Italy, My work has been included among others in exhibitions at the Bronx Museum and the Artists Space in New York, as well as the Project Space at Kunsthalle Wien, KW – the Institut for Contemporary Art, in Berlin, as well as, Kampnagel KX, Westwerk e.V, and Gallery Pimm van der Donk, in Hamburg.
