Angelica Verdan is a video artist interested in the idea of digital presence and how it manifests and functions differently compared to the physical world. She graduated from the University of Virginia in 2014 with a B.S. in Chemistry specializing in Biochemistry. Impassioned by the desire to pursue art, Angelica received the Aunspaugh Fellowship from the McIntire Department of Art at UVA. She participated in the 19th Japan Media Arts Festival in 2016 and took part in “Landscapes,†a special exhibition in Singapore through the JMAF in 2017. She is currently in Virginia, USA.

To Be Fully Seen is a self-portrait that navigates the fear and desire to be known. Shame can inhibit vulnerability, much like how noisy pixels can drown out other information. The viewer is invited to reflect on their own desires in a world where we should only connect online.
