Over the last 5 years, through a variety of approaches including video, written portraits, subject manipulation and restructured editorial processes, I have examined photography’s role in the portrayal of the self and explored how problematic photography can be as a representative medium.
My work has been exhibited throughout the UK and internationally, including shows in London (most recently at The Photographer’s Gallery, Covent Garden), New York, Brighton, Barcelona, Limassol (Cyprus) and Varna (Bulgaria). My latest video piece ‘70 Still Frames and 5 Minutes 50 Seconds of Video’ has been selected as part of Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2008, Liverpool Biennial of Contemporary Art and The Mirror Stage, IMCA, Cyprus.
I completed my BA (Hons) Degree in Editorial Photography from the University of Brighton in 2003 and my Master’s Degree in Photography at London College of Communication, London in 2007.
