Born 1980 in Leipzig Ronald Gerber took a two year traineeship in a bank to become a financial planner. After six month he quitted this job in order to study media arts at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig. In 2009 he finished his studies in the class of Prof. Joachim Blank, and is now attending his master class. The videos Ronald Gerber produces always deal with the high expectations society puts towards the individual. Gerber analyses the multiple roles that are supposed to be fulfilled, plays with prejudices and clichés and is not affraid to humorously reveil the unloved truth that there is no inalterable inner core to nobody. His films were shown on numerous exhibitions in Germany and abroad.
