Mushon Zer-Aviv
is a designer and a media activist. He is interested in challenging the perception of territory and borders and the way they are shaped through politics, culture, globalization and the world wide web.
Mushon is active in the Israeli & international new media scenes, as a contributor to some online magazine (Pixelsurgeon.com, Maarav.org.il, Exego.net) and through organizing off-line events (BD4D Tel-Aviv, Upgrade! Tel-Aviv, Upgrade! International).
He has presented in some festivals (Ars Electronica, Offf, Upgrade! International, Conflux…) and won some prizes and grants (Prix Ars Honorary Mention, Swiss MediaProjects new-media Grant…)
In 2002 Mushon opened ‘Shual’ (Shual.com) design studio with Guy Saggee. In 2006 he started ShiftSpace (an open source layer above any website) with Dan Phiffer. Mushon currently live with his wife and cat in New York.
