Michael Lasater is a professor, musician, filmmaker and gallery artist, with degrees from the Oberlin Conservatory, the Juilliard School, and Syracuse University. His work in documentary and gallery art has been widely exhibited in the United States and Europe, including the Hun Gallery New York, California Museum of Photography, Los Angeles Center for Contemporary Art, Athens Institute for Contemporary Art, Dallas Center for Contemporary Art, University of Rome, and Wienviertelfest-Austria. Current/upcoming exhibitions and screenings include art:screenFest 2012, Örebro, Sweden, Private Negations, Tehran, Iran, and a solo show of multiple works at the South Bend (Indiana) Museum of Art.
