Matthew Sochocki

Matthew Sochocki is a sound artist, sculptor, musician and writer. He
creates unique stringed instruments and investigates aural experience
through the use of sound to create a physical landscape using drones,
noise, altered sound and extreme amplification. He graduated Cum Laude
from the College of New Jersey with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in 2005,
and in 2008 received his Master of Fine Arts degree from the
Minneapolis College of Art and Design. During graduate candidacy, he
studied under sound artist Abinadi Meza and prior to this time he
worked for Matthew Barney on the production of Drawing Restraint 9.
