Lukasz Lysakowski
a native of Poland, is a media artist exploring the cybernatic relationship between man and machine. Utilizing his own custom software that draws upon imagery created by himself and partner Lael Gerhart, Lukasz is currently exploring real time visual improvisation and generative audio visual performances. Lukasz is currently pursuing his MS at MIT?s Visual Studies Program. Present work involves collaborative performances with artists HC Gilje and Kurt Ralske, in the live video improvisation ensemble 242.pilots. The “Live in Bruxelles”, 242.pilots DVD received the best image award at the Transmediale 03 Festival. Presentations and guest lectures have included Columbia University, Philadelphia School of Visual Arts, and Cornell University.
Commercial work includes head design for the WhatistheMatrix, and freelance design for other Matrix related material.
