Jeremy Blank
born 1957,Hampton Court, England.
Blank’s work has focussed extensively upon the Self Portrait over a period of twenty years a cross a range of media and approaches. Initially working as a Painter , but moved through Photography to Video, Performance and Electronic Arts.
Opened London’s first dedicated video and performance space in 1993, curated and organised RUSH film,video and performance club Perth WA, curated BEAP04, Perth Australia and awarded Emerging Curator Award 2005 to the Venice Biennale. Blank has explored psychological aspects of representation rather than strict adherence to photographic likeness. Lives in Perth Western Australia.
