Jade Cantwell
My life is dominated by visual obsessions – lines, colour, tone, shape, light and how these work together to tell a story and capture the intangible. I completed a combined degree at the University of Technology Sydney in film production and international studies; as part of this degree I lived in Mexico for a year where I spent most of my time watching experimental films and reading magic realism stories. These were pivotal in the development of my understanding of visual communication and symbolism. Mexican culture and mythology also nurtured my love for the absurd and surreal in everyday life.
