Dario Elia

Born in the island of Sardinia, Italy, Dario Elia is a sound artist, musician, singer, composer, photographer, producer and art curator. Having played improvised music since the beginning of the 90s he developed a personal modal approach and improvisation technique. The range of work he has been involved with includes music composition, sound design, multimedia art installation, live performance, sound engineering. His first album “Vie Impervie” was released in 2009, published by VesnaHaus.
Dario Elia takes part to several international collaborations. A recent collaborative work is the “SOL installation” realized with Koichi Shimizu (Japan), Alma Laprida (Argentina), Itta (Korea), Orkun Tüzel (Turkey). SOL has been exhibited/performed in Bangkok (Thailand) at Space of Liberty in December 2008 and in Turin (Italy) at MicroMacro Art Gallery in October 2009.
