Robert Spahr

Born in Wilmington, Ohio, Robert Spahr received a BFA Degree from the Art Academy of Cincinnati and an MFA from Parson’s School of Design, New York City. Most of his career has been spent creating sculpture, performance art, experimental theatre and digital images. Currently he creates scripts that harvest images off the Internet as source material, which are then used to automatically generate a new image he calls “Cruft.” Spahr is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Visual Arts at Dowling College and Adjunct Professor of New Media at SUNY, Purchase College, New York. He lives in New York City.
