Lynne Williams
I have incorporated sound as an emotional response to landscapes/places in installations since 1998. With a background in Social Sciences I retrained as an artist obtaining an MA in Fine Art in 2000. I have lectured in Fine Art at Staffordshire University and exhibited in many venues around the UK. My intimate multi-media work is sensitive to site. For Rooting Around, 1998, people were asked to make a sound expressing their feelings about the new building where they worked. This was placed in a bird box along a corridor. For The Store Room, 2001, I juxtaposed crates from the Henry Moore museum with crates animated by a curator’s voice, ephemeral sonic artwork and projections.
