David McCallum
is a Canadian electronic musician currently based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
He was scholastically gestated in composition under the control of Canadian composers Kristi Allik, Alfred Fisher, and Marjan Mozetich.
The sterility of electronic composition, normally characterised by hours spent in a studio, so that performance is little more than pressing the PLAY button, prompted a shift towards producing live and improvised electronic music.
The shift has led to work with groups of many other talent artists, beginning with the Live Electroacoustic Research Kitchen, and encompassing Re, Flexing Swine, The United Empire Loyalist Orchestra, and Drinking Box.
