Ren Cummings was born in June 1985 in Dayton, Ohio. This is where she grew up and went to Undergrad at Wright State University. While at Wright State University she majored in studio art with a concentration in photography. After graduating with her BFA in June 2008, she began graduate school at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville majoring in studio art with a concentration in media arts. She is currently still in graduate school working on her studio practice and expanding her teaching philosophy.
