Maria Lusitano

Born in Lisbon in 1971 and lives in Malmö, Sweden. BA Hons degree in Medicine from the University of Coimbra in 1997. In 2002, she concluded the Advanced Course in Fine Arts at the Centre of Visual Communications and Art, Ar.Co, where she won the João Guimarães scholarship in 2000–2001 and the EDP scholarship in the following year. She attended the Visual Arts course at Maumaus – School of Visual Arts between 2000–2003. In 2003 she obtained an Honorary Mention in the EDP New Artists Prize.
