Artist’s statement
My work has to do with my geographical and cultural origins. All my videos are set in Sardinia*, a place where the process of modernization has been done in a way so sudden that old balances consolidated over the centuries were destroyed in a handful of decades, without providing the tools needed to metabolize this change. I’m trying to registrate the effects of this change maintaning an approach as phenomenological and objective as possible.
*Sardinia (I) is an island with a very acient culture situated in the middle of Mediterranean Sea, also very famous for its beautiful beaches and for vacation of Naomi Campbell…
