Tom Hall is a emerging artist that has been working at a professional level for more than 5 years. His eclectic use of mediums has allowed his works to flourish, choosing to use the medium that best portrays his ideas. During his Fine Arts degree at The Australian National University studying Photomedia, he was fortunate enough to gain a UMAP grant to study at Kyoto Seika University in Japan. It was there that he diversified into other mediums studying video and sound. He implemented a number of projects whilst abroad including a CD release and his first solo exhibition.

Since graduating from The Australian University he has continued to pursue a professional career in the arts industry. Working in the mediums of photography, video and sound. Since his graduation he has managed to make a prominent position for himself in the Brisbane arts industry. Tom’s recent achievements include the completion of an experimental sound album based solely on Brisbane’s iconic Story Bridge and funded by the Australia Arts Council that has captured national and internation recognition. He has contributed and implemented live sound and video performances at various venues and art spaces in Brisbane, exhibitions at Raw Space Galleries and the Portfolio exhibition in Germany. Tom has also recently been working as an artist assistant for Brisbane contemporary artist Craig Walsh assisting with his expertise in video design, web design and sound.

Tom also works as a freelance photographer, working for clients and venues such as News Limited, The Powerhouse (Brisbane), The Judith Wright Contemporary Arts Centre, Institute of Modern Art, Brisbane and Liquid Architecture Brisbane (Australia wide touring Sound show).
