Max Hattler

was born in Ulm, Germany, and after finishing his Abitur, spent two years living in England and Paris.
He came to Goldsmiths College in 1998 to do a degree in Media and Communications, where he specialised in digital graphics and animation.
Whilst at Goldsmiths he also worked as a web designer for a German newspaper and studied graphic design part-time at the London College of Printing.
Martin Heaton
was born and schooled in London, and after his A-levels spent a year at Camberwell College of Arts.
He went to Goldsmiths College in 1998, also to study Media and Communications, where he collaborated with Max Hattler on several digital arts projects.
Since Pig, Max Hattler and Martin Heaton produced Alpraum (www.digitaldope.de/alpraum), an animated and digitally manipulated short film which is showing at various international events in 2001 and 2002.
