Nancy Jane Moore’s fiction has appeared in several anthologies and in magazines ranging from the National Law Journal to Lady Churchill’s Rosebud Wristlet. She is a member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America. She received a bachelors in liberal arts and a law degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and practiced law for twenty years before deciding to concentrate on her writing. She has studied martial arts for over twenty-three years, and holds a third-degree black belt in Aikido. The story submitted for this exhibit was first published in Aikido Today Magazine in June 1998.
