Ricardo Pons
He was born in Ramos MejÃa, Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1960. He studied both music and engineering (specialized in Information Technology later). He studied jazz guitar and harmony.
He makes monocanal videos, video-installations and video-actions since 1992. He also registered documentarily works of several plastics artists and made two videos in association with León Ferrari. His audiovisual works have strong connotations with Argentina’s History and social matters.
He won some prizes like the First in Fine Arts National Contest (installations track year 2001) and the Subsidy for Artistic Production by Antorchas Foundation (2004).
