Jason Sweeney

Jason Sweeney is a writer, performance-maker, musician/sound renegade and net broadcaster/designer. He was a recent recipient of two Australia Council ‘New Media Fund’ grants to work on a queer net-radio and writing project with the Banff Centre, Canada. He writes, performs and releases music internationally with numerous projects (Pretty Boy Crossover, Other People’s Children, Simpatico).
His writing has been published in both print and online nationally and internationally. His first collection of short fictions, Boy Stunner, was published in the New Poets 4 Series by Wakefield Press/Friendly Street in 1998.
Jason’s web/writing projects have previously been exhibited in international festivals, including the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s (NYC) ‘Under_score: Net art, Sound and Essays from Australia’; the Mediaterra microMuseum and as part of FILE (festival internacional de linguagem eletronica) 2001, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
