Before starting my studies of media arts at the Academy of Media arts in Cologne (Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln) I worked several years as IT specialist and occasionally as a freelance photographer. Although I am working mostly with my camera as my main gear of expression I do try to incorporate my IT skills in my work. The staging of human expressions and states is my main focus now for many years. I am trying to highlight ritual_habitual behaviour by techniques of framing and perspective, not only in photography but also in experimental video.
