Rebecca Hackemann (USA/Germany)


Rebecca Hackemann
was born, raised and educated in West Germany, England and America.
She is British and divides her time between New York, NY and Philadelphia, PA.
She is a graduate of the Whitney Museum ISP Program (2001) and earned her MFA in 1996 from Stanford University, CA.
She recently completed residencies at the Headlands Center for the Arts, CA, Light Work, Syracuse, NY and Yaddo, Saratoga Spring, NY.
She has shown her work in San Francisco’s Sightings Gallery and at LMCC, (Lower Manhattan Cultural Council), New York and at non- profit spaces in New York and Brooklyn.
The work is in the collection of MOMA New York, Musée Français de la Photographie, France; the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, Germany; the Museum für Fotografie, Germany an in private collections in New York and England.
