Makis Faros (Greece)

Makis Faros

was born in Athens in 1967. His studies include film direction, video, computer graphics and electronic music composition. He has been teaching film and video theory at Focus School of Photography and Digital Arts since 1995. He also teaches as an external associate, video technology and editing at the Master Program “Digital Arts” of the Athens University of Fine Arts.
He is also the audio visual consultant at the Greek National Museum of Contemporary Art (Fix)
In 1999 he directed “Video Gallery” a TV magazine production about video art, which has been released at National Television. He has participated with the Dancing Company “CHOREFTES” as a video artist and director in various projects.
As a member of musicals groups (this fluid, raw, spiders web) he is composing and playing music for stage shows, theatrical plays and video installations.
