Between documentary and dream, the South African artist Kai Lossgott makes short films which are both lyrical and incisive, revealing an obsession with the unspeakable. He holds a BJourn from Rhodes University, majoring in documentary filmmaking and dance theatre, and an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Cape Town. Kai has lectured in Visual and digital art at the University of South Africa, at The University of Pretoria, and in the Department of Digital Arts at WITS University. His research interests lie in synaethesia, embodied Aesthetics, and comparative arts.
