Victor Vina, interaction designer based in Barcelona.
Originally trained as an industrial designer, he holds an MA in Computer Related Design from the Royal College of Art in London. During 00 he collaborated with Mediamatic, Amsterdam. From 01 to 03 he worked as a visiting researcher at Interaction Design Institute Ivrea where he developed an open system to design personal wireless networks. In the academic year 04-05 he researched the integration of digital networks and public space at Elisava Escola Superior de Disseny, Barcelona. During 05-06 he developed projects with 8 years old children about critical intervention and social interaction in Barcelona (within Idensitat) and Berlin (with Paula Kramer, Sabisa).
He directs workshops in architecture and design schools in Europe and South America, and teaches in both graduate and postgraduate programmers in Barcelona. He is International Relations Coordinator and co-editor of Temes de Disseny magazine at Elisava Escola Superior de Disseny, Barcelona
His projects have been presented at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, Designing Interactive Systems, AIGA Experience Design, Gallery Oxo Tower in London; Doors of Perception, The International Browserday and e-Culture Fair in in Malmo; Nordic Live Art and Designinart in Gothenburg; NEXT in Copenhagen; The Lighthouse in Glasgow; Experimenta Design in Lisbon; Galería H2O, Museo de Artes Decorativas, Centro de Arte Santa Mónica in Barcelona; CHI in Minneapolis; Ubicomp in Seattle; UCAB in Caracas; Artrónica in Bogotá and Gaw Lab in Dakar.
