Birger Storaas is an Norwegian artist based in Bergen, Norway. He works mainly with video and sound. Birger Storaas finished his Ma in fine art the spring of 2009. His video-works are often mistaken as animation. In fact Storaas is most of the time working with an almost dogmatic process, using very little effects and post production related work. His videos are created sculpture like, building sceneries. And the camera is merely a window for the viewing spectator. His videos have often been described as complex, mystical and poetic, with an underlying reference to sociological themes and dealing with spaces between identity and fantasy.
