Radhamohini was born in Kalimpong, a remote town in the Himalayas which in the past century has been the scene of many migrations, from Tibet in the north, from Nepal in the west, from Bhutan in the east and from India and Bangladesh in the south. She is the product of two such migrations: her great grandparents themselves came from Uttar Pradesh, India and from Okhaldhunga and Ilam in Eastern Nepal. Her place of birth with its circumstances, and working as a filmmaker within the
expanding Indian metropolitan have greatly influenced and shaped her work. She is a graduate of Digital Video Production from Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology, Bangalore.
