Born in Dissen aTW/Niedersachsen in 1973, I grew up in Bad Laer, studied Geography and History in Cologne and became a Secondary I teacher. Having always been interested in both ancient and modern Egypt, I started to live in Cairo and to work there as a teacher at a German school (PDSK) in August 2007. Highlights in my school work are arts, history, geography and intercultural projects as well as video productions with students in these contexts. My private artistic work covers media design (photographs and videos) and making sculptures (since childhood).
