Lindsay Foster was born in Seattle, Washington (1980) and currently lives and works in Seattle and Los Angeles, California. She received a BA in Sociology from the University of Puget Sound in 2003. She studied photography and film at Rockport College/Maine Media Workshops in 2004 and earned her MFA in Photography & Media from CalArts in 2008. After Flaggfabrikken she will be in residence at Cyland Media Lab in St. Petersburg, Russia. Her work has been shown at the 700IS Film Festival, Iceland; the Los Angeles County Museum of Art; PDX Film Festival, Portland OR; Kontainer Gallery, Los Angeles; Open Gallery, Los Angeles; Angels Gate Cultural Center, San Pedro, CA; AIR Gallery, New York; LACE, Los Angles and the Torrance Art Museum. Foster is also the founder of TMHR (The Motor Home Residency), a mobile artist residency that will commence this July.
