  • Lara Salinas was born in Seville, Spain, in 1984. She earned a Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Granada in 2008. She obtained a Teaching Certificate from the Universidad Polictécnica de Valencia, where she finished a Master’s Degree in Artistic Production, specializing in Art and Technology, with the dissertation “Artistic applications in the Web 2.0”. Currently, she belongs to the research group Art and Society. Research, Creation and Diffusion (HUM850), and is doing a PhD on the possibilities that the Web 2.0 offers to contemporaneous artistic production.
    After a multidisciplinary professional career working with media as diverse as sculpture, photography, drawing, art installation, ceramics and video art, her artistic production is currently focusing on web-art projects, experimenting on the specific formats of the Web 2.0, expanding and transgressing their limits.
    Since 2002, she has taken part in various collective exhibitions at an international level, being her participation in the Web Biennial 2010, organized by the Istanbul Contemporary Art Museum, the most recent one. Her work is also present at the Contemporary Art Collection of the University of Granada.
