Doris Neidl is an Austrian born artist living in Brookly, NY and in Vienna, Austria. 1996 she graduated from the University of Art and Industrial Design, in Linz, Austria with a MFA in Visual Art (with distinction). From 1996-1998 she studied at IKM, Institute of Culture Management and Culture Studies, Vienna, Austria. From 1998 – 2002 she lived and worked in Paris, France. 2007 Doris Neidl attended an Artist in Residence Program at SVA New York and in November 2009 she was Artist in Residence at the Egon Schiele Centrum Krumlov, Czeck Republic.
Since 1994 she has had many exhibitions amongst others at the Gallery “Alte Schmiede” in Vienna (1998), at the Goethe Institute in Paris (2002), at the Deutsches Haus at NYU (2003), she participated in the Art fair 2004 “Young Art” in Linz, in group shows at the Gallery in der Schmide, Austria (2004/2006), at the Open Studio Exhibition at SVA (2007), at “Wish you were here” at A.I.R. Gallery NYC (2007/2009), “IT meets Art” at CSC Vienna (2008), Gallery Neunzendorf, Austria (2009) and the International Print Center NY (2009). Her videos were screened at VIDEOHOLICA 2008, August in Art, Bulgaria, at the NY Studio Gallery (2008) and at FIFE “Carbunari 2009” at the Florean Museum, Romania. Her next exhibition will take place at base-level-gallery in Vienna, Austria.
