Pip Shea is a media artist, web designer and community arts worker. Her interests lie in hybrid arts and convergent media practices and how these forms can be utilised for art making and the dissemination of ideas.
Her body of work is predominantly web-based, highlighting her preoccupation with networked cultures and the online participatory media space. Her practice focuses on the appropriation and free sharing of content and how these processes enable autonomous voices.
Her work explores identity, place, gender, sexuality, representation, tradition, cultural perception, xenophobia and power.
