Assist. Professor at the Department of Architecture, University of Patras. He works in the areas of media art, networking, context-specific art, urban interventions, space mnemotechnics. His projects unfold in different areas linking critical art practices to architecture, urban culture and politics of memory, and have been presented in different contexts in USA, Greece, China, Germany, Mexico. He is a founding member of Gregorios Pharmakis plural person, Urban Void, urban intervention collective, based in Athens. He studied architecture and art in Athens Polytechnic, at Columbia University and the Center for Advanced Visual Studies at M.I.T. Ph.D. in ruin aesthetics. He was appointed Research Fellow at the Center for Advanced Visual Studies, M.I.T., Lecturer at the Department of Architecture, M.I.T. and Massachusetts College of Art. He has published widely on ruin aesthetics, media culture and contemporary art.
