Gaby Bila-Gunther, is a Berlin based young writer since April 2002 who has been labelled ‘oddly poetic’ by The AGE newspaper in Melbourne, Australia (Where she was based between 1995-2002); blushing she asks why?
Her tales stretch from the primitive paths of Eastern Europe where her encounters with gipsies are true memoirs, to the shores of inner city Melbourne and other parts of the world, where her anger about the urban decline is fairly potent. “I’ve never seen anything so emotional”, a member of an audience complimented her after a reading at CAFE BOHEMIA, Melbourne where the content of her performance was based on travelling on the inner city trams.
